A European
scout's verdict,
on the player's game.
A written scouting report on individual football players, prepared by certified European scouts working for professional clubs. Submit match footage. Receive what a club's recruitment department would write internally — from $97.

“Composed in possession with sharp first touch. Reads pressing triggers well and stretches the back line vertically...”
European
Scout
Most American evaluations measure athleticism.
European scouts measure decisions.
A 16-year-old who runs a 4.5 forty but takes the wrong touch at the wrong moment is not a prospect. A 16-year-old who runs a 4.7 but reads the game two seconds ahead of their peers is. We can't change the way American clubs evaluate. We can show you, in writing, what the other system sees.
- −Highlight reels — the player's best 90 seconds, edited to look elite.
- −Generic "level up your game" coaching from non-scouts.
- −Sales pitches dressed as evaluations.
- −Empty promises about scholarships and pathways.
- −No European reference. No methodology. No accountability.
- +A 14-page written report. Honest, specific, signed by a scout.
- +Four-dimension scoring benchmarked against European U-17 academy standards.
- +Timestamped reference moments tied to actual match footage.
- +Development priorities — what to amplify, what to fix, in what order.
- +Prepared by scouts currently working in European professional football.

Scout watches
A certified European scout watches the footage with a structured evaluation framework — the same one used internally at top-six Portuguese clubs.
Report drafted & reviewed
The scout writes the report. A second scout reviews it for accuracy and tone. No AI. No templates filled in by an intern.
Delivered as PDF
You receive the 14-page report directly. Pro Pathway tier includes a follow-up call with the scout to discuss findings.

Things people ask first.
The most frequent questions from players, parents, and coaches before they request their first ProEye report.
Every ProEye report is written by a certified scout currently working in European professional football — not a freelancer, not an algorithm, and not a former player commentating from memory.
Our lead scout, José Laranjeira, scouts for SC Braga's first team in the Portuguese Primeira Liga. The full network includes scouts working with Liga and Liga 2 clubs in Portugal and Spain. Each report is reviewed by a second scout before delivery, the same way internal club reports go through a peer review.
Recruiting services exist to place players. They are paid to be optimistic. ProEye exists to evaluate players honestly, in the way a European club's recruitment department would evaluate them internally. No relocation, no scholarship, no agent commission. Just the verdict.
Many families use both — they read our report first to understand where the player actually stands, then make the recruiting decision with that information in hand. We have no incentive to be optimistic, which is exactly what makes the report useful.
For Quick Read: 45 minutes of match footage. For Full Verdict: one full match (90 minutes). For Pro Pathway: three matches. Quality matters more than quantity — wide-angle camera covering the full pitch, clear footage of the player throughout the match (not just highlights).
You also fill out a short context form: position, role in the system, recent injuries, level of competition, what the player is hoping to achieve. A scout uses this context to evaluate fairly. It takes about 10 minutes.
No, and we will never claim that. Anyone who tells you they can predict whether a 17-year-old will turn professional is selling something. There are too many variables: injuries, opportunities, family circumstances, environments.
What ProEye can tell you is: where the player stands today versus European U-17 academy peers, what their realistic ceiling looks like, what would need to develop to reach Liga 2 / Liga 3 senior football, and what the honest pathway recommendations are. That is what scouts produce internally — and that is what we deliver.
The report is honest, not harsh. We are professionals — we describe what we see in the language of professionals. We name strengths clearly, we name development areas clearly, and we explain what is fixable versus what is a real ceiling.
Players read these reports too. We respect that. The tone is the same we would use writing internally for a club: direct, specific, never personal. If the player is not at the level the family hoped, the report will say so — but it will also say what is realistic, and what to do next.
It depends what you want from the report. For 14-year-olds, the value is mostly in development priorities — what to work on with the most time available, before the body and the habits are set. The benchmark scores are less predictive at that age, so we de-emphasize them and put more weight on observation.
If the player is 16+ and exploring European trials, college recruitment, or major decisions, the report is much more directly useful. We are happy to advise you over email if you are unsure — write to hello@proeye.football with the player's age and context, and we will tell you honestly whether ProEye fits.
Quick Read is for early-stage exploration — when you want a European scout's first impression before deciding whether deeper analysis is worth it. It is honest, but compressed: 4 pages, headline scoring, a short verdict.
Full Verdict is what most families end up wanting. The 14-page report with timestamped reference moments, European U-17 benchmark, and development priorities is the document that actually changes how you make decisions. If the player is 16+ and you are exploring trials, college recruitment, or a residency program, start here directly.
If you start with Quick Read and decide to upgrade, we credit the $97 against the Full Verdict — you only pay the difference.
Residency programs charge $30,000+ per year because they include accommodation, daily training, education, and full immersion. They are an entire pathway. ProEye is not a pathway — it is a written evaluation.
Many families use ProEye to decide whether a residency program is worth the investment in the first place. A $97 Quick Read up-front can save a $30,000 mistake. That is the math we hear most often from families who have been through the process.
Quick Read: 5 days from match footage submission. Full Verdict: 10 days. Pro Pathway: 7 days (priority queue) for the report, plus the call scheduled within 14 days total.
If there is a hard deadline (a trial, a recruiting visit, a decision date), tell us when booking — for time-sensitive cases we can occasionally accelerate at no additional cost. We do not promise miracles, but we will tell you honestly upfront whether the timeline is realistic.
Yes. The report is yours. Many families share the report with college coaches, agents, or clubs as part of a recruitment package. The fact that the evaluation comes from a working European scout — not from the family or the player's current coach — adds independent credibility that recruiters take seriously.
We do not co-sign or endorse any external decision. The report is a verdict on the player's game, not a sales document for any pathway.
If after reading the report you genuinely feel it does not meet the standard described on this page — that it is generic, vague, or not specific to the footage submitted — write to us within 14 days. We will review your case personally, and if we agree, we will issue a full refund.
What we will not refund: a report you disagree with. The verdict is the verdict — that is the entire point of paying for an honest external evaluation. But if the work is below our own standard, we own that.
